Following many years of running occasional training days for local Oundle, Peterborough & Stamford fencers, it was viewed that there was room for a specific pre-season UK based performance camp to help fencers around the country prepare for the Cadet/Junior season, especially the Cadet/Junior National Championships on the second week of September, as many would have had breaks over the summer.
The camps will be non-residential and initially plan to run at The Peterborough School, for 3 days, in the last week of August.
Coaches will consist of current and former GBR International Fencers who have strong experience of attending training camps across the world, who can bring those experiences to the camp setting.
The camp will be for Cadet/Junior competitive fencers (plus some just out of the junior category) and will be aimed for those with regular competitive experience at Cadet/Junior BRC and EFC level. There is a general minimum age of 13, however in special circumstance, one or two younger fencers may be invited to attend, who do fence on the Cadet circuit.
